Snippy
Turns selected text into blog entries.
This Greasemonkey script creates a link to the current page based on the page's title and any selected text.
Setup
Go to your site's home page or new entry form, then select "Snippy Preferences" from the user scripts menu. Click the "Use this page" button next to the appropriate text field. Repeat for the other URL.
Note: This assumes that your "new entry" page has a static URL.
Use
On the page you want to generate a link to, choose "Snippy" from the user scsripts menu. The title of the current page will be checked for "separator strings" to try to get a site name and page name. Use the "swap" button to swap the site and page names.
To format a quote from the page, you may select text before running Snippy. This text may be formated with italics or as a blockquote using the radio buttons.
Versions
- 0.93: Fixed for Firefox 1.5.0.4.
- 0.3: Can now swap the generated page and site titles.
